This Fall 2018 course catalogue again contains a wide selection of courses from career and job training programs and business seminars, to drawing and painting, guitar, photography, stained glass, floral arrangement, DIY home improvement workshops, languages, and health & wellness courses.

Again, we have the largest selection of computer courses in the province, and as a Microsoft Certification Testing Centre, students can not only complete individual courses and programs but also obtain Microsoft certification, the only globally recognized standards-based credential for validating computer proficiency. Our amazing record of successful completion is a testimony to the quality of our Instructors and course curriculum. This Fall term, the computer labs are using new updated software for both Microsoft Office, and computerized accounting courses, and iPad and iPhone users will find Beginner and Level 2 courses as well as specialty, one-day Saturday workshops.

The need for lifelong learning has never been greater, and it is satisfying to see so many people enrolling in courses that balance their lives and get them out of the house, reduce stress, and give them a chance to meet new friends.

A big “thank you” as well, to the school Administrators and Custodians, where Continuing Education courses are taught. “Special thanks” to the daytime classroom teachers who acknowledge the importance of lifelong learning for the adults of their community and assist by sharing their classrooms.

-Jim Verkerk, Director, Continuing Education

Community Education Services was formed to take on the task of organizing and coordinating the delivery of Continuing Education courses to the residents of Langley and Abbotsford – and now Surrey as well.
